Superalloys are multicomponent alloys getting most of their mechanical properties from the γ/γ' relationship. Calphad thermodynamic modelling has shown its ability to describe the complexity of phase equilibria in many different multicomponent alloys. In order to describe properly the superalloys, the crystallographic ordering between the γ and γ' phases needs to be taken into account. Different assumptions commonly used in order to perform such thermodynamic descriptions will be discussed, and in particular the input of FP results.
